In 2001, Pulp released "We Love Life", their fourth and final album for Island Records (now Universal). In 2006, their previous three albums for this label were reissued with bonus discs containing B-sides and unreleased material. Unfortunately, "We Love Life" has never been reissued and as a res...

Forum Guidelines : Please Read Before Posting (...as if)

I hate forums that have long lists of "rules" for people to abide by who just want to talk about stuff. I also hate forums with moderators with itchy trigger-fingers and an inflated sense of self-worth. There are, though, sadly, a few things which just aren't allowed. I really don't like banning peopl...

Vinyl Duplicates

Strange request this one. Sadly, some kind sole has decided to enter my house uninvited and caused a lot of damage. If anyone has any duplicates that they don't want, and willing to sell - please let me know. Some have survived ( thank god ).

Forget About Tina, Get In A Bad Mood
(Preview)
I'm still in a funny relationship with the song Grown-Ups (we do like each other but are wary). The mid-section(s) has plenty of lyrical zingers but the line "Forget about Tina, get in a bad mood" got me thinking - have we ever had a classic ****er call-back before? Self-referencing can of course come i...

US Tour September 2025
(

Looks like someone was a tad ambitious at the size of the American venues - from another forum: If American fans haven't bought your tickets yet, AXS is selling half price tickets on the app. Because some idiot thought Pulp would fill 8000-10,000 seat venues in America in 2025. Probably the...

Live at Werchter Festival 1998
(Preview)
The Pulwiki page of this gig has been updated recently and I clicked on it to see that We Are The Boyz was the opener for this festival appearance! Which to me (and to you) is pretty cool - it's a barnstormer and its live status deserves more than an occasional encore appearance in 1998 and that tease of a pe...

So what do you all think? For me, it sounds like a natural (albeit slight) progression from "Autofiction", there is also a decent mix of fast and slow songs. I am not sure at this stage which is my favourite song but "The Sound and The Summer" seems to be edging it for me. I think that some parts of the album w...

New Baxter Dury
(Preview)
Never been a fan but really enjoyed his set at Tramlines. Bought the new album, Allbarone, when it came out and I think it's great. Produced by Paul Epworth it's a banging disco synth monster shot through with Dury's sleazy views on life. Lots to like if you like Pulp I would say. Anyone else heard it?

I think I'm risking turning this into an off-topic forum but that said, it's been a great year for music and we have some DC fans here. So this lands tomorrow but I have just managed to download a copy. I am 4 tracks in, listening to a song called "I Want You" (it sounds nothing like the Pulp song!). I'd sa...

Pulp on World Cafe

Pulp appeared on World Cafe today, they recorded versions of "Tina", "Grown Ups", "Seconds" and "Slow Jam" and there is an interview with Jarvis. I'm fairly certain that Jarvis appeared on this years ago. You can listen here. If anyone knows how to rip it then I'm happy to include on my website.

The Curious Case of Pulp Live via Jarv Is...

Myself and fellow Bar Italian Violin Thing were chatting about this over a drink last weekend (i think...?!) that isn't it just a wee bit curious how none of the Pulp songs played live by Jarv Is... between 2018 and 2022 have yet been played by the 2020s Pulp? His 'n' Hers was a closing set staple on the in...
