So what did you all think and would you change anything for 2026? My thoughts are as follows:
It was great to hear songs from "More" before and after it was released and there was a bit of rotation between the songs. It would have been nice to hear "Background Noise" and "Hymn of the North" as they have changed since their debuts in 2023.
Acrylic Afternoons / Seconds / OU / The Fear / Help the Aged - it was great to hear these again, this is the kind of variation that seemed to be missing from 2023/4.
Last Day of the Miners Strike - was quite unexpected to be honest and it seems to come across a bit better live. Let's hope that they play it again in future.
A bit more "We Love Life" representation would have been good; "Sunrise" seems to be the only song from that album to be played regularly but "Bad Cover Version" would have been great too. I have never rated "The Trees" as a live song but that could change when performed with the string section.
Rotating some of the hits would have worked well for me. For example, "Babies" or "Do You Remember the First Time?" instead of both could have made room for songs like "Party Hard" and "Lipgloss".
Of course, I think that they should perform "Deep Fried in Kelvin" and "Seductive Barry" in 2026 but can't see it happening
I definitely think Countdown should be part of the setlist. It sounded fantastic in 2012. I agree about The Trees, it needs to be given a go. I really enjoyed hearing the songs from More live and thought they worked really well. I would like Live Bed Show back and I could live without Mis-Shapes.
I agree with "Countdown" and there is other Fire material that would be great to hear, "Death II" would sound good and "She's Dead" would work really well with the string section.
"She's Dead" probably goes really well with the lineup now. "The Tree" is a nice pick, it wasn't a hit back to 2001, but I like it. The MV is so beautiful and unique, Jarvis lanky body shape merged into those tree images well.
If they can play songs from their early years, I want "Countdown", "Death Goes to the Disco", or "My Lighthouse." I also want "Wickerman" but this is impossible because it is very long and not suitable for a concert.
I watched a "Bad Cover Version" live in 2011/12 on YouTube, kind of disappointed. I love this song, and in my opinion, the best live version is The Cut With Jo Whiley in 2001. Feel like I want to keep the beautiful version in my mind. :P

After Candida mentioned I'm a Man as a favourite, I thought that might've turned up. MLG should have been played at some point. And any of the Deaths.
I could have done with more More. Tina and Grown Ups. And less Sunset and Farmers Market. Those two should have been the special treats, in my mind. Tina every night.
But you had told me in 2008 that I would see Pulp play Seconds, a complete Got to Have Love, and OU, all in the same show, I wouldn't have believed you.
I have heard several live recordings of "I'm a Man" and I really don't think it sounds good. It is clear that there is a great song underneath but the way it was recorded and subsequently performed live makes it hard to enjoy.
"Wickerman" with the string section, now there's a thought!
