Richard Hawley's New Album
(Preview)
What does everyone think? I am digging it, a really good album. It's received great reviews too. I notice on NME that the album was inspired by the death by Hawley's best friend. I suspect this was the same friend whose passing led to Pulp's reunion. The album is a very fitting tribute.

Some on here may be interested in the excellent interview that Mark Radcliffe conducted with Lawrence (of Felt, Denim and Go Kart Mozart) yesterday afternoon on 6music. If you've never heard of Lawrence, or his music, then he's worth investigating. A new documentary about him, Lawrence Of Belgra...

I know how Pulp Credit each member w/ the song credits and jarvis w/ the lyrics... but is there any lists (I checked pulpwiki) that show who came up w/ the main bulk of the song? Or is this always soley Jarvis who does then brings it to the band and they all flesh it out together? I was just wondering this af...

New Lego Pulp Logo
(Preview)
In celebration of seeing Pulp live for the first time (in San Francisco earlier this month) and their reunion in general, and as an invitation for them to record a new album (I'd buy two!!), I hereby offer them a new logo made from virtual Lego bricks. (I used Lego Digital Designer, available on the Leg...

One of the pies in which I used to keep a finger was that of music journalism. I used to write a bit for Sandman, and then used to review singles for God is in the TV Zine before realising it was easier to write about geeky things than music and started as a columnist for Den of Geek. However, having a crappy li...

Big thanks to Will for putting up the info on the 25-27/11/1997 Pulp hosting Peel programme. I used to have edited versions of this on tape and pretty much listened to them 'til they wore out. They always really tickled me. I also have to really thank this for playing the following songs... Baby Birkin -...

this is probably a long shot, but you guys seem to be able to dig up some pretty mysterious things from Pulp's past so I was wondering if anyone had any recordings of Trolley Dog Shag's music (which I'm sure is just...lovely if their logo is anything to go by) this is for ""research purposes&q...

Friday 27th is NOT We Love Life Deluxe Day (I've decided)

There's currently 285 votes on the petition on Pulp Wiki to get WLL DX released and a lot of them are silly names, which is frankly a bit shit. So I had an idea; every single one of you who reads this forum and wants a WLL deluxe edition must, on Friday, promote the cause on another website that you peruse, ev...

A little more info on the November '86 Jarvis/Captain Sleep gig

Pulpwiki says that "Jarvis played a one-off concert at Sheffield Polytechnic at the end of 1986, accompanied by Captain Sleep playing his Grannys Yamaha Portasound keyboard. The repertoire consisted of daft disco songs Jarvis had written; it is possible that these included early versions...
