There is a PHYSICAL version of the single that will only be on sale at shows like ALL POINTS EAST. It's alright as a song, but I think other songs from the recent set list are better.
He mentioned to Lauren that there will be a warm-up show prior to All Points East but I couldn't catch the name of the venue. Apparently all will be revealed on Friday morning.
With regards to a physical single, presumably a 7" vinyl, I wonder if it will have another new song as a b-side. If they're still short on songs, I guess not. Looks like there's a radio edit of Evolve so maybe it'll just be that.

Did note Raconteurs were doing warm up in Electric Ballroom. Wonder where it would be?
Could be a CD or a cassette. Someone told me the latter are making a comeback... (... heaven knows why)
Puts me in a small dilemma though, if I get the physical copy early I will be dragging it around all day and it will get creased and covered in beer/grease. But if I wait until later they will all be gone, never to be seen again.

(Also quite cool that there's a 50% likelihood i was present when it was recorded. Not much evidence of it being a live recording mind... presumably quite a lot of work in 'post').

See the notes on the YouTube video - "on Saturday 7th April they played a concert in Peak Cavern, Derbyshire & most of the music on this single was recorded that night"

He almost fluffs a word in the first couple of lines, so maybe they have left in more live than you'd think, albeit put through a food blender.
I like the way the percussion turns into Space by Pulp as Jarvis starts the segment about living in caves. Space is OK but he'd rather get his kicks underground.

I thought the place he mentioned sounded like "Chap's Palace". When I tried looking it up, I got the suggestion of Chat's Palace (https://chatspalace.com/ ) which is a) in Hackney and b) offers rehearsal and performance spaces for hire, so sounds pretty plausible on both fronts.

Presumably if you record the sound through the mixing desk, you lose most of the ambient audience sounds, any mics on acoustic instruments/ vocals must still be very short range/ directional or they'd feedback. Then have a separate one recording the audience to bring in at the very end.

Ah, should have listened to the interview, now the recording makes sense.
Essentially, live recording with studio overdubs.
So, i contributed in a small way, where's me royalties Cocker?

I thought it sounded a bit underproduced, it's live so that makes sense. Weird because Elvis has Left the Building sound like a studio recording. Maybe it wont be included on the new record ?
Elvis... was for a soundtrack so outside of the album recordings I guess. I'd rather it not be included on the album as I think it's the weakest of the material we've heard.
