I'm trying not to read too much into the "unusual" element. After all, we were promised "deep cuts" in 2023 and the deepest we got was "Like a Friend" or "Weeds/Weeds II" at a push. It should be an interesting one nonetheless.
Such ostentatious acts aren't really in the style of EOTR.
It would be nice to see Charlie Chaplin and the Tinman again like how they appeared at the start of the Jarv Is... Halloween show at EartH a few years ago.
I agree it could be a more stripped back show. Which I would love to go to. But £327 for a weekend camping ticket along with parking (£32) and travel would make this well over £700 for two of us, even if I could persuade Mrs. ArrGee to spend a night in a tent (highly unlikely). Spent far less in total going to Budapest last weekend. Tickets for 22 Euro for football!
How much!!! Bloody hell... apart from the odd day thing I've not paid for a festival since 1999... have just bought my flight to sydney for the Opera House gigs so no festivals for me this year

I have been thinking about this... the 2023 merch (tea bags, tote bag) quoted lyrics from My Lighthouse, Don't You Know, Space, and TV Movie... alongside songs that they eventually played: Joyriders, Babies, Common People, Disco 2000, Sorted, Monday Morning, Party Hard, and This Is Hardcore. I've often wondered if the others were intended for an appearance, too. Even if not, they certainly added to the feeling that the whole back catalogue was enjoying the victory lap.
