In the two hours between doors and the band starting in Birmingham, I had the privilege of getting to talk the ear off our very own Pip. I mean, he literally couldn't move. He was on barrier and I was behind him, chattering away like a monkey of geekery. Anyway, Pip mentioned his amazing story of getting to go to the 'Trollies...' premiere by virtue of being in the film. Jarvis and Steve and Nick and Candida and Mark were there. Which made me wonder...was that their last time together? So I've taken that like a dog with a bone and run with it.
How many times have Pulp been photographed in a vaguely professional capacity after the 2002 final gig? Let me know if I've missed any (I will have done!)
Sometime in 2005, Jarvis, Russell, Candida and Nick reunited for the 2006 'Story of Common People' documentary.
Steve didn't attend, but later accompanied Jarvis to a studio to listen to the track:
2006 - December - also saw Candida plays keys on a song in Jarvis' solo set for a concert. Steve was Jarvis' bass player throughout 2006-2010. I don't know about there being any 'official' photos of the two at this time, but presumably there would be, alongside some DJ appearances. Any photos of Jarvis, Steve and Candida together in Brighton?
Then, we have the reunion. No press. No press photos. But the 2011 Reading set is broadcast. You can see them all in that, obviously. But I don't think there's any shot of them all together.
And then it's early 2012, and Russell is being more picky about which UK gigs he'll attend.
"There were a lot more offers than I'd accepted, but I like the poetic beauty of having every show special. In a way that seems kind of prissy, as it ended up with me not playing Sheffield Arena, as I don't enjoy it as a venue."
Presumably, that also extends to the NME Awards at Brixton in Feb 2012, which he skips despite having played there in the Aug/Sep! Anyway, it's our first official press photo of the reunion.
I've only just read the bit about Russell and Sheffield Arena recently. I hadn't realised he was still being considered and offered gigs throughout 2012, none of which he wanted to do. And that includes meeting Sir Peter Blake when this photo was taken!
A week or so later, they played the Royal Albert Hall. There was a press photo.
9th April 2012. TV! Live on Jimmy Fallon. Leo Abrahams and Jean Cook on board.
filmed in Jan 2013 and shown in Feb. Pulp on Jonathan Ross. Again, hard to find a photo of all of them together during the set. Mark is one month away from being a Dad, and this is the last of Pulp playing for some time.
March 2014. Trollies gets its premiere at SXSW.
Jarvis, Steve and Florian journeyed out for it. I don't think the other members did.
Summer 2014. The premiere of 'Trolles...' and here's a press photo of the band - and the newsagent - before the premiere. Pip, presumably nearby!
That link doesn't seem to want to work. Type it in yourself if you need to: http://www.musicfilmweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/SheffieldRainbow.jpg
May 2015. Imagining a black plaque above the place I ever played a gig, etc, etc...
May 2017. Ivor Novello award.
September 2018. Jarvis and Candida are "Pulp" on Bargain Hunt.
July 2019. Remaster, remix, repackage. Steve and Jarvis at Abbey Road.
The Leadmill plaque, the NME and Ivor Awards were the main/only(?) group activity during the second hibernation. And most of Pulp played at the live Big Melt soundtrack thing in 2013.
Also there was an NME interview to tie-in with the film in 2014 when they were keen not to rustle Senior. So they were sheepish instead.
I clearly missed these! My own Pulp hibernation occurred with theirs, I think.
I've read about Big Melt. Jarvis, Steve, Candida and Nick? I'll take that. Sounds good! Apparently there are different recordings in the film than are on the soundtrack. What do we know of it? Any photos of them all during the process?
I'll take a look for a Trollies tie-in interview. Thanks!
Most of the pictures I've found of Mark are in the context of him being a film curator and I don't think he'd appreciate me reposting them (yes, I know I have posted a few over the years but you know, I was just checking that he was ok). He has a tendency to drop off the radar when Pulp are on hiatus, more so after 2012, which is understandable because he'd just become a parent.

Thanks! It was only photos - or events - of two or more of them together I was looking for, though.
