Was there yesterday. Party Hard was great but I would have loved to hear Seconds. Popular votes, eh? Dont You Want Me Anymore is easily one of the deeper cuts Id most like to hear live. Itd be somewhere on any dream setlist I could pull together. I think I remember seeing Jarvis list it as one of his top 10 Pulpiest Pulp songs in an interview in Pulp People or one of those 90s tour programs. Always wondered why it didnt feature somewhere along the way in one of the two reunions, or in this new, um, reunition

I love this choosing between songs. Tina calls to mind Don't You Want Me Anymore for me. I keep hearing bits of it in there. What a song. God that's a hard choice. Hope a video of Lyndhurst Grove surfaces on YouTube!

There's a vid there now. I forget how to embed.

Dammit. Cant embed but here is a link anyway.

Did everyone get home ok? North Greenwich station was buggered. I bused it to Bermondsey and got a tube from there. Several connections later, only just got home.

Thanks for the video for Lyndhurst. Jarv flubbed the opening lines so I'm not sure it will make the film/DVD! They could fix it in "post" perhaps.

Interesting towards the end that he has to shout-sing high which kinda works but then the last section of ooh-ooh's he needed to come down an octave and lost the rhythm a bit.

I guess it was only in cos it's one of Candida's choices for the tour but considering all the musicians on-stage, it sounded a bit too sparse to me. Missing a thick synth line or summat. Though it is a quiet song so I guess they were happy for it to be a bit pared-down.

Also, appreciate Mark's playing on it but it did make me feel sad for the first time that Russell ain't around no more.

Night two was even better! Great to hear Lyndhurst (one of my favourite Pulp tracks). I liked the sparse nature of it but I suspect its due to the peoples choice tracks being less rehearsed than the other songs (although I think the winner was quite predictable last night given most people at an arena gig will not have heard Separations). Other than during Mishapes, when a bunch of drunken people rammed into us and kept pushing everyone aggressively for the whole song, the crowd was really good both nights. Tramlines seems a long way off so now looking into the possibility of going to another show.

There was a lot of ramming, and a 15 year old at his first concert drank too much beer and threw up on my friends feet during Babies. But one thing I noticed was Jarvis and group were smiling all the time, seemed to be really enjoying performing and were getting a lot of love. Lyndhurst was a bit under powered and the forgetting the words didnt help, but it was great to hear it once in my life! Im still holding out for a concert one day in Brixton which will be just Separations and a few Freaks and It, it was never going to win at an arena concert. Both nights were great, roll on New York.

did it feel for a moment like you were actually inside the Mishapes video? I was sorry not to see a condom machine in the gents to scribble the bands name on.

So what made it better than Friday, the band or the crowd? Sounds like the former.

Whilst awaiting for that comparative answer, I was wondering how you felt the atmosphere might have compared to Dublin? Took my son to a Tyler gig earlier in the month at the 3Area and I really liked the venue - felt like somewhere that could generate and funnel some decent electricity. Was kicking myself not to have planned to see Pulp there. The O2 was a great, great night but theres an awful lot of air of course. Good buzz outside the venue. The steep seating angles made the streams of punters heading for the bar during Slow Jam (already?!), Feelingcalledlove, and Farmers Market A pinch more obvious than normal maybe. Anyway, 3Arena felt like a proper bear pit in the best way so if seeking an arena ticket might consider a flight

I know what you're saying about the O2. My vantage points for Dublin and London were quite similar, standing slightly right of centre maybe 15% - 20% of the way back. Both were very comparable, people around me really into it.
But only at the O2 did I notice people singing along to new album cuts like Grown Ups. I guess it had been out 3 days longer by then.

So I think the crowd and sound were both really good from where I was at either venue.
The 3Arena is slightly more intimate and I didn't know the set so it was all a little more thrilling but for all the criticism O2 shows get, if you have a good spot and the production values are high and sound decent, it's hard to ask for more.

I saw Tyler at the Co-Op Live last month with my partner and that was great, the square design of the venue meant even though we were halfway up in the seats we didn't feel "up in the Gods" (helped that he spent a lot of the gig on a platform towards the back of the standing area). Anyone coming my way on Saturday will enjoy it, I'm sure.

The steep seating angles made the streams of punters heading for the bar during Slow Jam (already?!), Feelingcalledlove, and Farmers Market A pinch more obvious than normal maybe.

That s**t does my head in, especially if I'm having to constantly move for people passing past/through, which is partly why I always try to get barrier for anyone I really like. Almost as bad as people who get up for drinks/food during a film at the cinema.

The Creator? I only know the name, can anyone dig him after 35?

Five-star review here for last night's show, some great phrases...https://www.standard.co.uk/culture/music/pulp-o2-review-jarvis-****er-b1233016.html

May have simply been that I was a lot closer and more relaxed (having seen it the night before) so hard to give an objective answer. others on here were at both shows too so wonder what their take is?

I went to both, I loved when Mark made a mistake I think on Mishapes and he just had a big grin after. It made me realise how happy they were on stage compared to a fair few gigs in the early 00s. Also Nick singing along to Common People may have brought a tear to this cynical eye.

I couldn't decide between the songs so screamed appropriately high to both of them on Sat
