Imagine if you were getting to the final editing stage of, say, an article about Russell Senior that would conclude with what he's been up to since the arbitrary date of 2015, for no particular purpose. What would you focus on that he's been up to since then? I'm aware of his Frogman album with Dean Honer, and can do the Discogs searches myself, but am aware that there might be a few less obvious things I'm unaware of. Would anyone care to enlighten me?

Thanks!

Well, he wrote that book. Or had that already happened when you did the interview?

And he was going to write another book wasn't he. About a king. I can't remember which king.

Otherwise, I don't think there's much. Presumably he's happily retired...

In the interview (coming imminently) he says he's been working on "a geologies-themed mystery romance set in the Peak District". Which actually sounds rather appealing.

He does indeed, Lipglossed. I was re-reading that bit last night.

And Mark, yes, he'd written his first book by then. That's what led to the interview.

It's pretty much done now. Finally. I'm happy with it but will give it a couple more read through.

Due to the passage of time though, I'll be checking with the man himself to make sure he's happy for it to be out in the wild.

The time he won a Britpop lookalike competition at Offbeat. That was funny.

Musically he managed the Long Blondes didn't he?

Otherwise I think he's just been running his antique shop and getting his kids through uni.

Kids are well past uni now, he was reproducing in the late 80s.

Yeah, good point. I remember meeting his daughter in a nightclub, but guess that was longer ago than I'd like to think.

Didn't manage the Long Blondes, but did play violin on one of their singles.

Britpop lookalike competition sounds apocryphal, although I was with him the time someone approached him at the bar and asked "hey hang on, aren't you... Sophie Senior's dad?"

Different topic, sorry, but Mark, have you been in touch with this guy? He's making a documentary about Peter Boam, or at least he was four years ago.

That was mentioned a few years ago here. Did anything ever come of it?

I was there the Britpop lookalike competition night - it definitely happened. I appreciate there's a similar Elvis story and it was done knowingly with that in mind

Yep, very much so - I'm in the film! I believe he's in the editing stage now.
