Of course, Russell played that night too *hangs head*
The whole of the 2024 Toronto show is on YouTube (link below) where Lipgloss is played early. Not overly keen on some of the guitar effects used but it sounds pretty good all-told. I was so overwhelmed to hear it at Hogmanay that my critical faculties abandoned me but I *think* it sounded great.
One thing about the More shows that I have found a bit cringe is the voice-over thing at the start, recycled from 2023. I do like Pulp being c0cky so the "You will remember this night 4eva" is fair enough but the whole "This concert is an encore" thing, was a pretty lame catchphrase for the reunion, no doubt dreamed-up by a marketeer on a £2k day rate and now it's still being used but doesn't make sense anymore.
More is being toured, with 7/11s of it being performed live. Nowt to do with encores or glory day rehashes.

Lipgloss - I'd love this to be a part of the main set. I think they even had issues when recording the thing back in the studio - Russell trying to figure out what key / note the ending was always made me laugh. One of the main staples of Lipgloss was always the stylophone, and when they performed it without, I always thought it was a much weaker song. Auto was spectacular - all the guitars, keys and stylo made it nearly the perfect live performance. The demo of Lipgloss falls flat. Still a pleasant but a little stale like the Live On demo.
I was always one for calling for Sorted to be dropped as it bores me, however the blend straight into Disco 2000 works massively and what an explosive two songs back to back they were in Manchester.
Id still drop Feeling Called Love, but it's a crowd pleaser of which I didnt realise a couple of years ago. Pink Glove has a massive reaction. I think they would struggle to get the set list to be as pleasing than how it is right now. A good mix of His N hers, Different class , More and I think one or two more from We Love Life and it's as good as it's gonna get.
Do you have any key live versions of Lipgloss that are particularly stellar, Scott? I'd be keen to hear one where it's supposed to really kick it! Hadn't considered it was one of the stylophone songs. I suppose Ed Buller classed the stylophone alongside the violin as a 'ok, you can play it, but I'm not going to mix it loud!'

Here's Glasgow Sound City 1993, which might be what you're looking for - there's a real force and weight to the drums and keys. Afterwards, Jarvis confronts a homophobe, leading to cheers.
They had been drafted in to replace Hole at short-notice.
They also did quite a strong version at Colmar 1994 in France, though the outro is slightly marred by some stop-start playing from Russell. (I think it's fair to Russ to say that the riff in Lipgloss might be at the upper end of his skillset, hard to replicate live, and I'm not sure I've ever heard a version where he masters the ending. At the same time him being there is what makes it what it is, seeing as he would've written it)

Thanks, Lipglossed. The Glasgow Sound City one is such an odd one. The band sound great, but Jarvis is clearly well-oiled. His comments about Kurt Cobain did not age well...
