I think the only 'new' song I've heard is Hymn to the North when I saw them in London the other year. I haven't seen any of the live clips of any of the other new songs, so all of this should - hopefully - be a surprise to me!

I've always found randomly tuning into a BBC Radio station has provided me usually with a new song I fall in love with and go on to enjoy the band, it's how I discovered Pulp in the first place when I was tuning my old stereo system radio '

 Thanks! It's good to have been 'away' in that sense. Everything is fresh. It was great hearing the song 'properly' for the first time, having not heard a live version or anything first.

Lovely interview. Lots of fun. I don't think anyone else gets to speak to Jarvis like Nick does.

He struggled to talk about Steve, bless him. Lauren's a kind interviewer though which helped.

Would have liked to have heard more from Candy. Nice to hear her enthuse over other music like the Tame Impala track she chose.

All looking very fresh. Went to bed last night and wake up to the whole of the internet announcing the best news ever. Listened to Spike Island [single] many times on the train into work. Then listened to The Day After the Revolution and tears kind of swelled in my eyes. This huge passage of time and the history and love we all have with this band is bringing on feelings that at 8.29am in the morning I cant quite put my finger on.

Jarv has just been on BBC Radio Sheffield on the Breakfast Show. Good chat with the host, Ellie Colton. He spoke a bit more about the video and Tramlines (Albert Cockers band is playing). Also billboards with "enigmatic phrases" and fancy advertising for the album will be launched in Sheff. Lots of Sheffield talk in general. The decline of Fargate etc.

It'll be on BBC Sounds if you want to listen back. Slick production with instrumental parts of Misshapes and Spike Island playing in the background.

One of the independent radio stations, XFM maybe (?), used to do a track by track chat about a new album with the artist. I think the bloke was called John Kennedy. That would be cool. Does anyone know if that still exists on Radio X or Absolute Radio or similar?
