Manchester and Birmingham both 100% for me, but can't really be arsed with London (I'm with Alan Partridge on that one). Considering Glasgow & Dublin...
Something in the air. Was on a mad Pulp listening binge over the last week. Perfect day. Mark Webber's book in the post and then this! Cannot wait. Yeah, I'm wondering does this mean an album very soon!
See you in Dublin by the fountain down the road (Stephen's Green?).
Be there 2 o clock. Probably a bit early that
I'll definitely be there! Mad to think of them finishing up at the Ambassador and here we are in 2025 and they're back to 1996 concert size!
I think given that they're doing "the sheds", they'll keep the bulk of the festivals/hits set in place with maybe five or six new songs.
But the chance of hearing any "legacy" songs that haven't been aired in this era or even ones they've only played a handful of times since 2023 (Lipgloss, Joyriders, Dishes, Bad Cover Version) are fairly slim, I'd imagine. Weeds, FEELING, I Spy and Pink Glove might even need to bog-off to make room for the newbies.
Jarvis is a crowd-pleaser and the majority of people will know half a dozen songs and none of the new ones. So I can't see him rifling through any deep album cuts or singles that didn't fare well (Party Hard, Trees). Help The Aged just looks like it's never gonna happen again...
What I hope they do on the week the new album comes out is some fan-club equivalent gig in a tiny venue (i.e a dimly-lit room crammed with loathing and hate) playing the whole record in full and then some more obscure songs.

Hmm. Looking at the recent tour, Hogmanay was probably the most populistic/mass-appeal gig that they did. And they gave us Lipgloss and Monday Morning then. In fact, that felt like it was partly an effort to make the setlist more crowd-pleasing by including them in lieu of Weeds/Weeds II.
I'm cautiously optimistic. I think the core of the set is set in stone - I Spy, Disco 2000, Something Changed, FEELING, Sorted, Hardcore, First Time, Babies, Sunrise, Like a Friend, Underwear, Common People - and that there'll be some variation. They probably won't play all the new songs from show to show.
Pink Glove I hope remains: after all, it's good for crowd interaction. Weeds' days might well be numbered though. I'm crossing everything for Lipgloss again. I think Lipgloss, Joyriders, O.U., Mis-Shapes and Monday Morning will all still make sporadic appearances. Who knows, hopefully Mark's lobbying for Help the Aged will finally have paid off...

"2. Ticket resale is permitted at no more than the price you paid (face value + booking fees). Please only use the official resale partner www.twickets.live. Selling tickets through unauthorised resale platforms will breach these T&Cs and those tickets may be cancelled."
Does this work? Let's hope so.

Well that was quite heart in mouth! It told me twice that unusual activity was detected on my IP. Luckily, I refreshed and it carried on. Then I thought it was trying to force me to buy insurance, didn't seem to want to activate the Buy button with a big red box suggesting I might have forgotten. But it all worked in the end, no Taylor Swift style experiences - I only know about that from the media, I've never tried to buy a Taylor Swift ticket.
- Queuing in random order
- Only Twickets resale at face value
- Not crashing out when you try to pay
Buying gig tickets may be redeemable if this all works.

Think I may give up and try again Friday. Never did a presale before and don't know what I'm doing g to be honest. Just kept telling me I needed a unique link which I presumed was the one in the email. Oh well! Friday morning it is.
Nope. Not a sausage. Dublin not working for me but thought that might just be me. Kept telling me I need a unique email link and now just spinning around
