Nice interview for sure. Think he's off the mark with the Common People girl though. The woman he mentions isn't Greek and dated Jarvis - neither of which fits with what Jarvis has said about the inspiration for the song. I suspect it's a wild goose chase really - there probably is no Greek girl, and the lyrics are an amalgam of more than one person (possibly including Jarvis himself).

That was good. The interviewer's habit of interrupting made it a bit tense for me! I'm sure I've read the name Lottie Heath in association with Pulp somewhere- maybe in the credits of an album. It sounds like quite a Pulp name anyway. Pulp did seem to get a fair bit of coverage in select around 1992/3 from what I've seen and I'm guessing that was Jarvis' shared flat in Peckham.
