One thing I really appreciate this time round is that Jarvis doesn't exclaim/shout certain key ascending moments so much - in 2011/12 for Disco 2000 he didn't sing "You didn't notice me at all", he talked it, stressing the "notice". Which bugged me quite a lot at the time!
This time round, he sings that line melodically.
Generally, there are some high-note moments that he ducks out of singing still but thankfully they don't seem to be at key/anticipatory moments of songs which is when you notice them more.
Can't believe Dublin is nearly a year ago. This Friday. Blew the socks off me last year. Wishing they'll be back but accepting if it's not to be. Last year was just the best ever. everyone seeing them this year, enjoy, it's an amazing stageshow
Yeah, I haven't gone back to compare 2011 and 2023 vocally but I do remember thinking last year that the vocals were more melodious and less talking. I mean he's never Mariah Carey (thank god!) but I remember thinking everything really sounded better. Having said that one of my friends did say last year, 'he talks his way through but it works' that was my favourite gig ever anyway so whatever they did worked for me!

A couple of songs have been pitched down for this tour I think, presumably for this reason - certainly Disco 2000 and I think Mis-Shapes too. And fair enough really, can't begrudge Jarvis at 60 not being able to sing like he did nearly 30 years ago. He's a long way off Am Dill Danding territory.
