Back in early 2021 when I first started being active with pulp, I had a lot of internet mutuals who sent Jarvis letters to a Rough Trade address and they'd post pictures of his response (usually a couple sentences and he'd sign whatever you sent him and send it back). I haven't seen anyone doing this lately and i'm wondering if you guys think the address would still be active or if he'll actually reply? Maybe I should hold off until Pulp isn't actively doing concerts. Also absolutely stressed trying not to embarrass myself sending a letter to my idol...terrified he'll send me a big a4 print out of him giving the thumbs down.
Also little add on, my friends family friend is the guy who directed/interviewed Jarv in life, death & supermarkets and she says if Jarvis ever comes round New Zealand they'll try to have him for dinner because he's essentially also a family friend now, and I'm invited. I want to mention this in the letter but don't want to spook him with my parasocial wiles. Lol !!
