TV Movie - not a complete disaster but equally nothing special. This was the first song I listened to when I bought the album because I had heard the first 5 on the radio or they had been released as singles. I remember feeling let down and thinking that this could have been a b-side and "The Professional" could have been on the album instead.
A Little Soul - has always ranked in my worst 5 Pulp songs. It does absolutely nothing for me whatsoever. The only good thing about this song, for me, is the b-sides.
Live Bed Show - one of my favourites from "Different Class". The extended version doesn't really add much because it isn't particularly extended. The 7 minute live version is better.
Something Changed - I do like it and I think that it was a justified choice for last single from the album. That said, I think that, without the string section, it's a rather unremarkable live song when they have played it at practically every concert since 1995.
Sorted For Es and Wizz - again, I like it and luck was certainly on their side: all the press coverage of this plus another a-side to make up for any lost airplay. This is another live song that I think could be dropped in favour of something else.
Live Bed Show was probably too close musically to Something Changed, they needed something a bit more "fun" as a single
It's funny you say this as Russell really like Live Bed Show, but disliked Something Changed...
Maybe it was the theme ? Too sweet for Underground Russell ? I don't know, but those two songs always sounded like close cousins to me. One sweet ballad on love and one bitter take on love.
Music is weird, there's never any reason to like something or not. Sometimes it's visceral and you dont know why.

And it flows very well ! DC is THE PERFECT album, maybe the most perfect album of all time. I prefer This is Hardcore but the tracklisting is weird towards the end.
DC is just THE ultimate album. 12 singles, 12 great tracks.
I've probably overplayed DC over the years but have to agree about it being the most perfect album. No filler and the perfect sequence. In my opinion it's not only the most perfect Pulp album but the most perfect album in general.
