He does look a bit worn out there, on first glance I thought it was much more recent. Can't blame him for leaving. He's such an eloquent, interesting, warm speaker. I don't think he's nearly as appreciated in the Pulp story as he should be. An iconic musician.
That interview is coming - I know I keep promising this and I must be a right pain by now - current delays are a combination of chronic insomnia (I'm seeing a GP tomorrow), dental issues and university midterms. Plus a change of laptop, and me having not switched everything over yet. There really isn't that much to do, and I could probably get it all sorted if I just found the time and sat down and had a proper go of it. So it'll pop out soon, once I've had a chance to send it to Stephen to look over. I can only apologise - I feel awful for continuing to post stuff on Twitter and whatnot when I should be working on this - a classic case of task paralysis, methinks.

omg tell me why i thought the same thing.... tbh i feel like recent discourse re: "this is your reminder to stay hydrated~" is a fairly new thing culturally. i had two gen x bosses who drank one dixie cup of water a day. it drove me insane. russell looks a bit parched lmao beautiful but parched
and omg dont worry about it lol i read about that interview while persuing the forum. i will be happy to read it! when it's ready! i agree i wish there was more love for him and just like, more FROM him. what is he up to in the year of our lord 2023? i need to know! he's so well read and has a great range of cultural influences, as is jarvis but i do have the feeling jarv packages himself in a way that's a bit more palatable/pr friendly? everytime i read / watch something with russell, russell says some kind of thorny things, and is never really afraid to throw shade lol and i am here for it

Thank you... yeah i haven't witnessed the 'glory days' visuals live yet, but i'm glad he seems to be front and centre in them. a crucial part of pulp. and i'm with you, i'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear whatever he's up to nowadays, hear all his opinions, see what he's doing!

Lots of love for Russell from me too. He was the one who drew me in when I first saw them on the telly because he looked so cool. Loved his dress sense as well as everything else. I love someone who isn't afraid to say what they think straight up too. Think it is good for a group to have people with opinions and to have debates and different ways of thinking. I loved his book a lot. I thought it was very well written and hilariously funny at times. You could see through the book as well how much Pulp meant to him and I sometimes wonder what direction Pulp would have taken if Jarvis hadn't met him. Sounds to me like he took a bit of the onus off Jarvis by being an organiser and I also think he's a bit written off sometimes as almost a non musician. I instantly know when I'm listening to a Pulp record that Russell played on. Unique. I'm glad he was recognised in the visuals for Glory Days.
if anyone has his email or smthing uhhh plz reach out? ask him what's up?? the people want to know!! but for real he is well within his rights as a 62 year old man to be like...fully off the internet, doing his thing, collecting mushrooms lol
