Oh, the Hits DVD is a must have. Not just the promo videos, but the whole thing from the scene select music to the live performances. Perfect from head to toe.
That was on CD:UK right ? The interview that followed with Ant, Dec and Cat was pretty awkward as I recall. But I remember being so excited to see my first bit of Pulp TV promo as a fan.
Hasn't surfaced on YouTube over the years from what I can tell.
Not sure if the ????? are ironic at the end clip of Glastonbury (Reading?) '94. "Anybody Hackenthorpe? Anybody Stoke Newington?"
You wait years to hear/read Mark Webber's opinions and suddenly... here's an archive "phoner" interview from 1996 with Mark in flirtatious (?!) form with the interviewer. Also followed by her talking to Jarvis and Steve from a few weeks later where JC reveals himself to be an early adopter of Le Creuset kitchen-ware
I've uploaded the 2001 appearance on CD:UK to YouTube. It includes a performance of The Trees and an interview with Jarvis. It's not been uploaded previously as far as I can see.
The version of The Trees further up this thread is mislabelled. It's not from CD:UK but rather the Pepsi Chart Show. It is from around the same time and quite similar.
Ah, nice. A "low-key" personal holy-grail as it was the first bit of Pulp telly promo I ever saw as a fan and I haven't seen it since it first aired (pretty sure it was on that VHS I sent you in 2005 that you never received - which annoyingly contained Pulp footage that has stubbornly never surfaced on YouTube - the mimed performances of "Stacks" and "Razzmatazz" on JMTV Rocks...). Thanks, Will!
Wow! Do any of the band actually want to be on stage? At least that German 1998 festival where Jarvis is in a really bad mood is quite entertaining because of his comments in between the songs. Here, we simply get a half-hearted performance of half a song.
