Sky Arts have their usual extended coverage of the Isle of Wight Festival on television next weekend, but despite being headliners it looks like we're getting 20 mins of highlights from Pulp.
Sadly it's only in SD on Freeview, so if anyone out there has the ability to record Sky Arts HD...
IoW festival is on all Friday evening and possible Sky Arts will broadcast some Pulp near live. I will just record the whole shebang and fast forward through the dull bits.
I assume the band have only agreed to 20 minutes as the listings for all the other artists, even those lower down the pecking order seems to be at least half an hour.
I wonder do they want to keep aspects of the performance a surprise (ie Jarvis' entrance on the opening song) and if one of the Hammersmith shows is being filmed, they want that to look special/exclusive when it's released.
If they were sensitive about the photography at the V Festival, and assuming that they're continuing their 2011/12 reunion stance of no press ahead of the gigs, this may just be another example of not bowing to the media.
Eeek, torn over watching this for the spoilers. Though I did watch lots of dodgy phone footage from Barcelona at the very beginning of the first reunion I suppose.
Hmm. Was there any dodgy phone footage from the cruise ship when they had supposedly set off for the setting sun?

I love the look Nick gave someone off to the left - probably Candida - when he thought Jarvis had forgotten him again, and the cheeky wink he gave when he didn't

After 12.30am (!) Sky Arts showed three songs: Pink Glove, Do You Remember The First Time and Common People.
Not clear if they'll be the songs aired on Saturday evening - but I'd expect so.
Update: same three songs at 7pm, and also on Absolute Radio, though they swapped round Pink Glove and DYRTFT? for some reason. Looks like that's our lot then.
Disappointing to find that the video isn't available - it's showing as private now. Did anyone capture a copy?
I deliberately didn't watch it before - I wanted to discover the 2023 set list live at Finsbury - but I'm now devouring everything I've avoided looking at for the last five weeks :)
