Its good that they are doing indoor gigs but lets be honest we saw that coming. Its the classic tour schedule. Announce low key gigs for warm up, then festivals first then own dates.
The fact its been teased a "big announcement" is the letdown. We expected some king of material.
I suppose now the next window for something other than live stuff will be Christmas... oh well.

It's disappointing, sure, but honestly a part of me is just glad we're getting Pulp back again. I think most people thought Motorpoint, then the band literally sailing into the sunset, was the end. Now, it's 2023 and I'm on my way to a Pulp gig.
The chance of new music was always rather remote without Steve. That's the tragic truth of it.
More general thoughts. I remain hopeful of something being thrown our way but if they're just doing fish-in-a-barrel UK shows, I honestly can't blame them. They're all getting on a bit/settling down now and might not fancy jetting off across the world (although I do hope they get down to Latin America). Obviously money is an important and relevant part of it, but Pulp have never been at the point where an international tour meant slam-dunk profitability; now with Brexit, if theyre doing this partly for their pensions (which is absolutely fair enough given how they started out and the present state of the world), as well as making money they probably don't want to spend too much of it. Also, I think I recall that Candida isn't especially keen on flying, though she's not as badly afflicted as Russell; I don't know about the others.
We'll see, anyway. It's still early days, they haven't played live yet.
Do we have any idea who'll be on bass? Any sightings of Anthony Genn in the East Riding (or Pete Mansell terrorising Humberside, unperturbed by Russell's objections)?
A mysterious addition to the Pyramid lineup goes by the artist name the ChurnUps, who have no online footprint and are presumably a starry secret act. Glastonbury organisers were tight-lipped about their identity, but whoever they are, they have a very high profile placing, sandwiched between Royal Blood and Texas in the much-coveted sunset slot on Friday evening.
