Great that it's confirmed, he mentioned on a podcast a couple of months back that he had written it during Lockdown. I'd love to read Candida and Mark's life stories too (and Steve, had it been possible) - they're all such different people with interesting perspectives on how their lives turned out.
Aren't Omnibus the same crowd who published Truth And Beauty? Maybe Nick should have a word, get a new edition for Sturdy going.
I kind of already knew about this because I remember him talking him about this in an interview late last year. Also it would kind of explain why I was having a lot of dreams involving him last week.
(Although I was hoping my dreams would manifest as a Glastonbury announcement but hey ho, I'll take what I can get)

Nick's memoir is now up for pre-order - £20 for the unsigned paperback and £25 for the signed hardback, which comes with a chance to win an original Common People video prop (entries limited to 1,000 copies).

Looking forward to this too. Thank you for the info. Pity the international orders are down at the moment. Would love to enter that comp. Any raffle or competition and I'm in there :) wonder what it is.
Edit: just looking at the Russell one there, think it said 334 pages. I loved that. Never got around to reading Good Pop Bad Pop properly. Must do that. In the intervening years of not being on the board I actually started playing the drums so I'm interested now in that aspect too.

I kinda feel sad that Omnibus have used Jarvis' image on the cover of the cheaper edition. I understand why, they feel it will help the book sell more, but it seems a bit disrespectful to Nick.
I remember one (or two) of the yellow and purple boxes turned up on ebay a few years back- didn't go for that much. Looking forward to this- nice cover.

Awh, I thought this too... :(
Very excited for this book to come out, though. Can't wait to read Nick's recollections! He was a plentiful contributor to Truth & Beauty, and maybe the tone of his pieces in that could be taken as a foretaste of what's to come? (Not that we'd know until we've read it of course)
He's doing another talk with Fatboy Slim (bizarrely) in Brighton In September. I'm moving down there soon so I've bought a ticket but it's before the book comes out. If it's not for sale there, it seems an odd thing for him to do.
Hope its louder than a whisper otherwise I wont hear it I doubt there will be an audiobook (there wasnt for Russell Senior), but there will be a Kindle edition which your device can read to you. However it will be very monotone and send you to sleep.
