Well done, Sturdy! Concise, informative and you looked young especially compared to all the 90s dinosaurs chiming in with their tuppence
I thought that you actually sound a little like Steve. Your voice was heard before your face was shown, and I did think it was our dear Mr Mackey for a sec.
A decent amount on Pulp in this ep with as good a potted history as you could hope for on these type of shows. Did you nod them towards the 80s live pic they showed?
I watched both episodes today. There was certainly a decent amount of Pulp in the second episode. Are they going to be in the third episode? I'm guessing that the Brit Awards and "This is Hardcore" could be featured.
And Sturdy, I can only agree with the other comments. I don't think that you have changed since I met you at the book launch about 20 years ago.
Well... Not quite sure what's happened here. But it looks like the remaining 2 episodes have been bumped from the Sunday evening slot: ep3 went out at 5am on Friday, ep4 at 3.20am yesterday! Maybe no one watched the first two?

Weird. If they've already aired, that must be why someone on Twitter said yesterday that the all the episodes are available to stream on Channel 5's online player.
Finished the series this morning - Loved it!! Made me feel good. Lots of archival footage which I love because hey I work in archives, had a good arc and great that its repositioned the importance + coolness of women in many of the bands- and not just subpar / girlfriends. As someone not from the uk I still think a fresh pair of Adidas Trimm Trabbs, jeans and a kangol bucket hat is still the coolest thing in the world. You can snigger at me - I know its dumb. Interesting to see who they got to talk - 2 from blur, 2 from Pulp, Bez, McGee, someone from Space, CAST, Inspirals, Boo Radleys, Shed Seven and Stephen Street. I wish their were 'extras' so you could see the extended interviews.
Does anyone know what the interview footage with Jarvis and Mark is from?
That's a good point, I'm not sure actually! Thought it might be The O Zone but having checked they're wearing different clothes. Something from MTV maybe.
I thought the last episode was possibly the best one. Man there was an awful lot about The Verve though.
