At the end of Good Pop, Bad Pop, Jarvis writes "I have counted forty instances in this book of events that later found their way into song lyrics in one way or another. Did you spot them?"
Well, I have not spotted them. So I thought we could have a thread to collect them. I'll start with the ones that I noticed, in no particular order (but numbered so we can keep track):
Countdown - the comic, and wanting to go to space, referenced in Chapter 7
Space - as above; perhaps a bit tenuous
I Scrubbed the Crabs That Killed Sheffield - story told in Chapter 22
Last Day of the Miner's Strike - the strikes are mentioned in Chapter 18
"Further Complications" - this is a bit tenuous, but the "life is just a carrier bag" lyric = the discussion of carrier bags
Wickerman - living in the disused factory in Chapter 20
Am I Missing Something - seems to be the theme of Chapter 20
Bad Cover Version - the imitation Andy Warhol artwork on the Velvet Underground LP and the Top of the Pops albums, Chapter 20
Inside Susan - the jumping out of the window incident mentioned in the lyrics
Little Girl (With Blue Eyes) - referred to by name, but also told in the story of his mother's wedding photograph
The Other Side from Room 29 - the TV interlude
Seductive Barry - a little tenuous, he talks about his love for the Barry White cassette
Mis-Shapes - townie violence, Chapter 23
Death Comes to Town - not a direct reference exactly, but the 'Disco' button on Yamaha PortaSound PS-400 sounds just like it
Common People - aluded to in the Epilogue
Some tracks are directly referred to by their name, so I'm not sure whether these count - they're not hidden! Let's imagine they do:
16. Shakespeare Rock 17. Message to the Martians 18. Tunnel 19. Maureen 20. Life Is a Circle 21. My Legendary Girlfriend

This one might be a bit tenuous, but perhaps 'Tonite' in relation to the window incident ('Somebody falls from a window sill')? Also, if name-checked tracks count, he mentions finding the lyrics to 'Teen Angst' at one point (he didn't sound too chuffed about it, though!)
