Blur doing a "one-off" UK date at Wembley stadium next summer. Let's hope they keep it that way and not steal Pulp's thunder!
Suspect blur will probably play Glastonbury and other dates. Unlikely to be going to Wembley to see them unless I get a bargain ticket nearer the time. I did go to see The Who a while back, but it's too big a venue for a decent gig. Even the O2 is too big for me. At least I should be able to get somewhere near the stage at Finsbury Park.
It's being quite definitively reported that it's Blur's only UK gig next year, which is a shame. I've always gone to their smaller warm-up gigs.
Must be a big earner to play a one off. Noted there is a gold circle which I expect will cost at least £200

Definitely not going! To think I only paid £20 to see them at Mile End all those years ago. Well, £40 as I paid for my future wife to come along as well.
Ticket prices are killing me Pulp £70, James £80, Blur £80. I'd have gone to them all but I can't justify it. Just good old Pulp for me.
Pulp was more or less £80 after fees for me. I find it hard to justify paying over £40 for any gig. I made an exception for Pulp but even paying more than £50 for suede was more than I wanted to pay, so I didnt. Saw them at Electric Ballroom recently for £30. Have a few gigs lined up at Islington Assembly Hall, The Garage, Subterania, 229 and Union Chapel which are all in the £25-£35 range and at least I will be able to see the acts. Even have a couple of festive shows in London costing between £10 and £25. Never worth it if I am spending more on the ticket than the beer
Also made an exception for Pulp - cant see myself paying that kind of money relative to regular acts again. Ive seen the Stones (for less), and poor Bowie is dead

Yes, £70 for Stones and I was in Golden Circle at Olympic Stadium. Wasnt supposed to be but I sneaked in And there was an even more exclusive golden circle
Bowie cost me nothing on his Serious Moonlight tour as I got a guest pass. But tickets back then were less than £10. Did also have tickets to see him in Paris in 1990 on his Sound + Vision tour, but got sacked from my job and was elsewhere when gig took place! 160 Francs, so about £15.
The Who for £90 is as much as I have paid, but that was in front block at O2.

Wondering if the promoters have overestimated the demand for blur along with the touts. Lots of resale tickets on https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/blur-london-08-07-2023/event/37005D68CB492C1E. And -plenty of availability outside golden circle for second night. Might wait this one out until the week before.
Pulp on the other hand seem to have near zero availability. Just Dublin and festivals.
