Devastating if this happens. A Jarv Is gig would fill the place easily but if they wanted to do a gig to raise money, a bigger venue would obviously make more.
1 night at the arena would surely make enough to keep them in business for a few years
I'm not sure it's actually about money. I think it's more to do with the landlord wanting control of the venue over the current owners. There was a statement yesterday from the landlord saying that he intended to keep it as a live music venue. Of course the issue with that is that the current managers own the name The Leadmill. There sure are a lot of hot takes and misinformation going on about the whole situation here in Sheffield at the moment.
As Saw correctly states, it isn't a financial issue..
However, i do find it ludicrous that for all these years the same team who manage the Leadmill and it's affairs have never had the opportunity or means to buy the property..
It's surely been within their grasp on more than one occasion over the last 40+ years?
