Finally! The change from the working title of This Book Is A Song suggests something less...personal? But maybe not.
It ain't a proper memoir, despite the claim in the vid (which contradicts itself with the following quote about it being a loft story, not life story!).

Yeah, but we've most of the classic stories multiple times in interviews over the years, so summat different will be good surely? The blurb in the Waterstones link makes it sound pretty personal.

It's true that he's always been generous in what he's shared in interviews especially in the music press during the first half of the 90s when he had less need to be guarded.
Looks like the structure will be based on artifacts he has uncovered in his attic and attached an anecdote and a wider "moral" to them linked to music. As long as it's funny and entertaining, (and there's no reason it shouldn't be), then all good.
Can someone tell me where to pre-order please? Frankly I'm not very internet-savvy any more, don't have instagram, and I don't understand what/where the 'bio' is...
"Theres a link in the bio if you would like to pre-order a signed copy."
I think Instagram must not let you add links to posts as it is quite common to see "link in bio". If you click on the person's name at the top of the post, it goes to their bio page and the link is there.

Collected my copy on Tuesday. I haven't started it yet (library books to finish first), but I'd call it lavishly illustrated. A bargain at £20.
Pleased to find on page 108 that someone else is as weird as I am. I think I've had this for about 20 years, though unlike Jarvis, at least I drank mine. I may be inspired to chuck it away... but not just yet:
