And interesting revelations. The band were done in, says Candida. The corporate Heineken show was the week after, right? That must have been the very, very last straw.

It's interesting to think that Candida could have easily quit around the same time as Russell if not before. Jarvis was on the edge of his own nervous breakdown. Doesn't sound like Steve or Mark were enjoying themselves either. Was Nick the only low-maintenance one amongst them, taking everything in his stride?!

I think you're right, I met Nick at Sturdy's book launch party and he seemed very laid back about Pulp. He did make a comment along the lines of "If it was up to me, all of our songs would have been less than 3 and a half minutes long"
