What the heck did i ever do to you or anyone here? Single me out for doing what every fan of anything on the planet has ever done? And on here!!! And fyi, girlie stuff? It was actually me asking about it because i was simply curious and was wanting to maybe use it for the new header of the fb group...if there was a clear version. Nice for you to automatically assume its for wanking material or whatever. 

 

And on fan forums, isn't that where fans are supposed to ask and look for stuff as well?

Ive seen archives on here where some people who did nice stuff for this fangroup got torn to pieces and horrific accusations and didnt even get a thank you for the stuff they shared but were treated really damn had, like full on slander-like level psychoanalyzing to the point they obviously up and left and other fans were upset cos the asshole ones spoiled it for everyone and just went totally out there with the rudeness. This place has a reputation for that. Thought that chilled out, i guess not! Should have known better than to have posted anything here. 

Got attacked over simply sharing news on the live jarvis domestic disco events (but this was not welcome as I was told that nobody here was interested, yet this is a FAN BOARD of PULP AND JARVIS fans and its was a big new thing he was doing on instagram at the time which had no promotion outside his own instagram. Just cos a few of you weren't interested, there sure would be and were some that were!!! ) and also for the fact I made two threads in 2 weeks on it, as the other contained info on the next show and a recording question. It was then seen as if i committed some atrocious crime. Baffling!!!!

Its really depressing, and would imagine Pulp fans being a bit less.... stuffy and anal. 

I'll happily stick with the facebook groups. 

But there are some here with a wealth of info and put great work into stuff for the fanbase and their own collections.. And most are only on here. But yikes...that is if you can get past the others bitching and biting....over literally nothing. 

No but some people, myself included to a degree, seem to get a little "triggered" (to coin a social media-loving term) by an abundance of "OMG! Look at another funny picture of Jarvis" type posts. And I know Nebula was referring to me in some of her Bar Italia bad-board examples she gave.

Maybe it says more about me/Jason. (Get a life? Possibly...but forums like this are a nice escapism from it. In fact this is probably the only nerdy Pulp corner of the Internet so there my be a territorial/tribal feeling being projected).

I don't mind a bit of fan-girl/boy-ing but ultimately I'd rather read/discuss Pulp's music/Jarvis' lyrics/inspirations etc. Yes, I know, I can just skip pass those threads etc. Perhaps it's a sense of frustration that so few people, generally, want to talk about Mark Webber's guitar style or Russell's sunglasses and mad ideas. And as most of the Pulp anoraks post here, I often expect/hope a new topic will be quite...well, anoraky.

Nebula runs a busy Pulp FB group page, and any sort of Jarvis-related news is updated there so I appreciate that. And she also seems a fun person. I'd happily buy her a drink and have a dance to New Order.
