Interesting find:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193559684372

The listing image is a bit fuzzy but that Havenhand line up pic is intriguing.

I'm sure that seller is the person who sold the Ian Broudie mix of lipgloss ? Or maybe the Axis demo? Its a familiar name.

That is very cool. I've seen the two band shots before (although not in great quality, esp the Havenhand one) but not the live one.

The note on the back of one of them, "Return to Dom R" - that's got to be Dominic Roshkrow, who did the Sheffield Star Pop Page in the mid/late '80s (although the earlier two pics pre-date him). So maybe these have all made their way out of the Sheffield Star archive somehow...

I see! I recognised the name David Bocking from early sleeves but can't make out the text on the larger photo which looks really early given the haircut- maybe '83?

Zbysiu Rodak on the early one. He took a whole bunch of photos in 82 and 83.

It's a shame Rodak's stuff isn't more widely accessible. He seems to have been almost the only person to have taken photos at a Pulp gig in 1982/83, and I'm sure what's surfaced is a fraction of what exists. I rang him once and he said he'd passed all his Pulp stuff on to an agency called SIN (Syndicated International Network I think) - which no longer exists as far as I can tell. If we could just persuade him to dig out his negatives....

That's a shame. I've actually found him credited for photos in one of Artery's albums- can't find him elsewhere. It really strikes me that Sheffield had such an exotic, artistic scene back then- your book is certainly testament to that! Thanks again for the info.

Chanced my arm with these but was comprehensively outbid. £93.99, yikes! Hopefully the winner will be kind enough to share scans.

Jesus. I wonder is the same person buying all these Pulp rarities (DC demos/Lipgloss DAT).

I remember bidding as far as forty pounds on an "unused" TIH duvet set on eBay once but bailed as it went for something like eighty quid in the end.

Yeah I saw that. Someone is definately snaffling up all the rare Pulp things. Common People Yellow vinyl I was bidding on went for I think it was £86 quid, and the Disco 2000 Orange vinyl went for £53.

Well, maybe this is what'll persuade Zbysiu Rodak and David Bocking to clear out their archives - looks like they're sitting on quite the pension plan!
