Quotes from the same interview isn't it? Someone posted on one of the Pulp Facebook groups the other day an interview he gave to Shortlist magazine in 2010 a few months before Pulp reunited and he said something not too dissimilar.

The thing with Jarvis is that he likes the element of surprise. The only time he's really been a "careerist" were the years Pulp were signed on a five album deal with Island and that just left him disillusioned in the end. It only took him a few years to get tired of presenting a weekly radio programme! So I never take anything he says about future plans too seriously.
He's happy with Jarv Is... so Pulp are understandably at the back of his mind. .

Maybe, NME regurgitating old stories and utilising others in a quiet time, but whilst Pulp is at the back of his mind, it doesnt read like the absolute end.  The biggest issue with any Pulp reunion is personnel. Cant imagine Russell nor Candida being part of it.

I am quite happy with Jarv Is... as well.  However I dont see another LP nor tour after this one whenever it happens...

Not sure if it was this in interview or another interview that he talked about them writing remotely.

I'm not sure if this has been posted on the message board earlier in another thread but there is a really quite revealing chat between Jarvis & Stephin Merritt here

That convo with Merritt was great, wasnt it? Loved the story about moving to Paris after Pulp ended and the guitar falling off the car roof and being smashed by a truck! "Maybe I should have seen it as some kind of sign but I don't believe in them no more...".

Has our Jason heard this Leadmill'90 show? Wonder what he reckins.

Jason has heard the 1990 Leadmill show, and has given some thoughts on it. He was (probably) there!

I'll ask if he wants to put his memories of it into here.

Someone might also want to paste in the MASSIVE CAN OF WOTMS erupting from me asking Nick B, on twitter, if he remembered this gig...

Who knew there were still passionate WoT fans out there, getting their knickers in a twist.
