I seem to recall a thread where someone mentioned about using a Karaoke function on their stereos in the past, and it removed the vocals on songs .....well it would sound weird if you listened in headphones and sometimes speakers aloud.
Fast forward to 2020....
Whilst doing my usual youtube snoop, I came across this ..... and I tell you something, whomever has managed to work on extracting the vocals has done a bloody good job.
Furthermore the Acapella is here too.
Opinions? I love the fact you can literally hear very clearly the old Casiotone and stylos. I honestly wished there was more like this. Disco 2000 especially. How has this been produced ? I thought cooledit or audacity at first.
Yeah! It's awesome innit? I Still can't work out how it's done - but you somehow bounce the stereo tracks off eah other. It's simple - but as i say, It's simple in theory - I haven't ever tried it!
I found a website recently called Moises.ai which can separate the various tracks of a recording into their component parts. Considering the starting point from which it has to work from, I think it manages to do quite an impressive job.
As a test, I ran 'My Lighthouse' through it and isolated the vocal track:
There's the odd bit of garbling, but I don't think it's too bad considering all I gave it was an MP3 of the original song.
