Would have got tickets yesterday (loved Jarvis' rather sinister sounding voicemail!) but I'm finishing off recording a song next Monday evening and my, er, "musical career", must come before Jarv Is.
The timing of the gig is interesting, it's still over two months til the album is supposed to come out and the subsequent festival season of gigs. Given that he's hinted that "House Music" will be the lead single, I just wonder....whether they will be filming scenes for the music video at this gig. If so, don't forget your bottles of water and chewing gum when they ask you to gurn like a happy head at a late night out in East London, bopping to a sick DJ.
I gave it a call and listened to Jarvis, unfortunately I live too far away to attend.
Rumour has it he's coming back to the Golden Lion in Todmorden soon, where he DJ's with Andy Votel a couple of years ago after the Jane Weaver gig. Only this time it'll be a Jarv Is gig.
Bootlegged this last night but to be honest I gave up on my recording half way through and chucked my coat on the floor (with my recorder in it) as I thought there was too much hussle and bussle for a decent recording and you can't really applaud - or go for a drink or a wee wee with a recorder in your pocket! I've stuck it into my PC tonight and it's about 50% better than I thought it would be - so I'll try to tidy it up and post. It's worth hearing just to get an idea of 'Save The Whale' - which I think might be a re-working of 'Elvis Is In The Building' as the chord progressions are very similar.
I might need help sharing it - as I had bother last time.

Someone here on Instagram got the lyrics for Save The Whale. There's a bonus foot in the second picture.
