Some extremely interesting posts from Giles over at the Acrylic Afternoons twitter. Firstly, pretty scary working title for the Dogs EP! Secondly - Dogs EP on side one, and Little Girl EP on side two? So this was originally intended as a mini album rather than two single releases?
Also - how crisp does the OU Instrumental sound ! You can just about hear Jarvis filtering through the mix during the end part of the song. There are soooooooooooooo many Pulp instrumentals which would sound fucking amazing. I Spy and Hardcore to name a couple.
Wonder what the background to the OU instrumental is? A 'karaoke button' job perhaps?
And re the Dogs and Little Girl tracks being on the same cassette, the way I read the thread it seems like Russell just put them together like that for the tape to send round to venues.

I did try the "karaoke button" years ago on several tracks with varying degrees of success. I don't think it worked too well on "I Spy" if I remember rightly.
Agree with Sturdy on the little girl/Dogs e.p.s on oned cassette, yes surely just a showcase tape of their most recent studio work to send out to potential venue bookings.
As for the absurd suggestion that it was to be an lp titled death, doom etc...
It's surely a description of the subject matter?
A sub heading much in a similar way that freaks was described as suffocation, holding hands etc..
