Discovered this through AppleMusic's "For You" thing, last night.

Wasn't sure if I should post it, here, but having listened to it a couple of times..  sure, why not!

Sleeper, one of the many names of the 90s BritPop era, have released their fourth album, The Modern Age just last week (2nd March 2019), their last album being 1997s "Pleased to Meet You", over 20 years ago!!

...There's hope for a new Pulp album, yet!

I agree, I have been listening to this too. I think Pulp and Mansun are the only 2 bands I used to listen to that haven't released an album since the early 2000s (though Paul Draper's solo album was pretty good)

Now the Divine Comedy have announced a new album, can't say I rate the single much but as with all their albums I am guessing there will be a few decent songs on there.

Yes, really disappointed with that Queuejumper song, no spark to it at all.

Yes it is a bit silly. At least "How Can You Leave Me on My Own?" from their last album was funny for the first couple of listens and even "National Express" has held up well over the years but this "Queuejumper" is very throwaway.

I thought To The Rescue from his last album was masterful, one of his best.

I agree, initially it reminded me of "The Certainty of Chance" but after a few listens I realised it is a lot better.

The new DC single "Norman and Norma" is an improvement.
