You mean you can drum those two albums like a boss? Duuuude! Once Sturdy books an appropriate-sized venue (Hull Adelphi? Might be apt) we'll pay your airfare and have two full days of rehearsals and do this. Mr Havenhand might want to play some of his old bass parts.
Seeing as the band themselves will never do it, who's up for forming a tribute band to do faithful versions of '80s Pulp? We could do a Separations show with the album in its entirety, then a second half of all those lost 1987 songs. And similarly a Freaks show (ha!) with a second half of Masters highlights and other stuff from the time. Stage draped with bogroll, tinfoil everywhere, bingo call at the start of the encore, Tim Allcard up a stepladder reading his poems... who's in?
(NB I'm not entirely serious. I wish I was.)
I'd love to see a festival made up entirely of Pulp covers bands
