Good job for the BBC radio oojie that lets you wind the programme back while it's still on, only just saw this. I usually get round to putting RadMac on in the afternoon, but was distracted by the Wednesday Week playoff special podcast today. He's been getting well into his 60s TV themes likely, seems a bit of that element to me, along with a bit of Tales of the Unexpected maybe - I seem to be in tune with Mark and Stuart on that point. Said there is a whole EP coming on 27th. How many times are they going to use the "Exclusive" jingle? Many, I hope.
First episode is the night before on Sky Arts according to that article I posted the other day.

Reminds me of the stuff he did with Air. It's got a melody and lyrics but it's not anything you're going to be singing along to. Slight Leonard Cohen air going on there (maybe just with Jarvis adopting his low half talking vocal style) - Could have been a Hardcore era B side.
It's nice. - 'Likely Stories EP' out on 27th.
When I heard "Pulp" I went "YEAY!"
When I heard "Jarvis" I went "Oh...."
When I read "sounds quite Hardcoreish" I wondered if it would be the good upbeat half, or the morbidly dull half..
Then I listened to about 3 seconds of the track and knew exactly which half it was.
Oh I like it actually. I'd much rather he was doing stuff like this than stuff like 'Heavy Weather' or whatever, all that traditionalist singer songwriter stuff.
I just came across this article about the TV programme, and it seems the directors are the same two people doing the "art installation" thing at the Colston Hall in Bristol (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiBMYv7BFfo) that Jarvis is also part of.
Http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b079cp2k - iPlayer link It's about 55 minutes in. Can't be more specific, as BBC seem to trim the shows to more "the actual show" times, after a day or so.. I've made that mistake before!!
