I just saw the tweet and came on here to see if there was news about it (I've been a bit otherwise occupied the last week or two) and that was a very fast 5 second emotional rollercoaster from "Oh my god what if???" to "oh."

Well, that was a roller-coaster 5-minutes of blog reading! Keep the faith, people.
If there ever is a new Pulp album, would the selection of this guy to work on the film mastering (given his D2000 history) suggest their most disco-ey outing yet? Perhaps After You gestured thus. I always preferred the single version of D2000, especially with the strings and extra spoken interlude. Was he responsible for mixing Ansaphone too?

John Davis wasn't responsible for the D2000 single, just that it was done at Metropolis. I don't know who actually did the mastering for it, but I don't think Davis was working for Metropolis at the time.
