I like how quickly the thread has settled into admiration of Jarvis' fashion sense.
I have to confess, being an adolescent who can almost get away with it, I do often buy clothes that are very distinctly Jarvis-y. I've got two velvet jackets and a pair of brogues cos of him x)
Yes, I'm afraid I am one of those people who could talk about Jarvis's clothes all day. If I were him, I would have kept every single outfit. Probably catalogued, too!
I'm not sure, there was only a short while between 2nd and 3rd times, at the 2nd we had a lovely chat about the Sheffield gig and he was lovely and honest and told me about how nervous he was, then he went to put his arm round me but ended up not doing, so I think the 3rd time he might've remembered, he was joking around and then put his arm around me so I'd like to think he remembered me.
I have experienced the Pointy Cocker Finger photo though!

I hardly spoke the first time, I told him we were going to the Sheffield gig and he said "oh yeah, we've just been rehearsing for that" which made the realisation that I was talking to JARVIS COCKER too much to deal with! We did end up in the paper together that time though! Haha.
The second time I made sure I'd had a drink first so I could get over his voice and I was brave enough to start a proper conversation with him, I asked him if he'd mind if I asked him a question about the Sheffield gig (he was signing the set list) then at the end he said "how was it for you anyway?" Which made me blush!
and the third time we had an ace few minutes.
Hoping there'll be a fourth time on Friday :)

Apart from the velvet suit, my favourite item of Jarv's 90's wardrobe is his black Playboy shirt. He looked godlike in it.
Oh, yes, the Playboy shirt with the black trousers (I think these were the ones he rescued from a skip) looked great.
I also love some of the retro shirts he used to wear, like the patterned one he wore at the No Stilettos show. It looks like an early '70s shirt to me - I had a dress in about 1972 with a v similar pattern on it
Aw Jarvgirl, you jammy get! I seem to be in a minority of people on this forum who haven't met/tried on the clothes of Pulp band members. This needs to be rectified at some point, methinks.
Hawley completely took me by surprise with that, he was ACE. Almost (almost) beat Jarv putting his arm round me. (Sorry, I know I'm awful but I can't help it!)
Aw, that sounds brill. Yeah, don't often see any pics of Jarv with fans where he has his arm around them. Usually he's just pointing, or looking a bit surprised. Haha, you've every right to show off - people wouldn't hear the last of it if I met anyone from Pulp!
Wow. I dunno if I could manage to string enough words together to have an actual chat. I'd be all star-struck and nervous. If he did remember you, that was quite sweet of him.
Haha, it's like a rite of passage, getting a "Pointy Cocker Finger" photo x)
Yes. I think Babies is THE song that will survive the test of time. On it's 50th birthday it will still sound as good as it did when it started life wrapped up in a black velvet suit.

Oh, that's lovely. I have only ever heard good reports about people meeting Richard Hawley.
