Pretty bizarre! I can't quite top that but my Morris team danced and provided entertainment for someone's 90th birthday this weekend near Chester and Louise Minchin off of BBC Breakfast News was there. No, not really the same is it.
I've always wondered what Deborah might have made of the song and whether they were still in contact by then, so it seemed rather lovely to me, not just any old random party after all. I think she has a right to a rendition of her song and it looked like from the bit earlier on that maybe it was a charity thing too.

Oh shit, sorry. I must have missed that line. It's the Deborah?!?! Fantastic! This should have made the news headlines.
Maybe there's a premise for a tv series here where Jarvis attempts to track down the muses for his songs. He didn't find the Greek girl in the Common People doc but Susan, Sylvia, Paula, Darren, Bob Lind (most definitely) must still be knocking about.
On a related note, Disco 2000 was background music on James Franco's party before the apocalypse on the comedy, "This is the End". It's missable but still mildly amusing.
Weej, I had read the exact same thing somewhere. Always thought they used Deborah as they couldn't use Gloria because the riff sounded a bit like Gloria by Laura Branigan (think that was her name). Haven't read the whole thing but hope she's doing well & imagine how would it feel to know you were featured in a Pulp song. I suppose you'd be a bit pissed off if you were the ones in 59 Lyndhurst Grove or the Greek girl in Common People
