This site has an image - and it looks like there's no picture sleeve, just a white label (unless this is a separate promo). Also reckons there's only one B-side, not two. Hmmm. £7.99 is mentioned as the price - quite high IMO but consistent with other Record Store Day releases I guess.
I really find it difficult to get behind Record Store Day. I know, I know but to me it just seems a very cynical ploy that designed to exploit music fans rather than the saviour of the independent record store. It creates it's own rarities completely artificially and is nothing more than a cynical marketing ploy to exploit the record buying public. I, for one, will not be queuing up this, or indeed, any other record store day. So there!
that means more copies for the people who just want to put them on eBay and exploit genuine fans who actually want to own these - queue up and buy it, the pair of you!
all my post was meant to be was some rallying call for real fans to get out there and buy the record, it was just meant to be light hearted not bossy - and my response to you was only based on what I perceived as a moody reply to me .... but seriously, i do apologise! I don't come here to make enemies and start arguments so yeah i'd like to start again!

I thought the whole point of Record Shop Day was that independent stores give out free stuff to bring people into the shops, like Comic Shop Day & Game Store Day. I'm really disappointed now.

I myself will make the attempt to line up and get a copy of the 12". I need it. I will be trying to get more then 1 copy to be able to share with anyone who is not able to get a copy. I hope that others also try (in case I fail and get no copies )
I'd be very surprised if anyone manages to get two copies of "After You" at once, or any other RSD release for that matter, but best of luck to anyone trying!! It's nice that people at least try to help out others who can't make it on the day...
I saw a guy trying to get 3 or 4 copies of a Stones release a few years ago and they just refused because it screamed ebay with that amount!! i dread to think how many of the Pink Floyd ones will be up on eBay this year
The 20th? People up there were talking about it like it was tomorrow. I've no idea what record store day or any other post-2002 UK innovation is, please forgive the ignorance.
Recorded it and put it in the 2007 account, thin it fits in the rules as it is only a limited run this edit and will not be for download, at any rate it's a grey area till next Saturday...enjoy! Will of course take it down if you lot want.
It's a grower, perhaps - my instant reaction was 'no' but don't mind it after a few listens, which is pretty much how I felt about This House Is Condemned when I first heard it, and now I've got quite a soft spot for it.
I may or may not have danced to a Vocoder mix at some point in the past...
I'm waiting to listen until I get a copy of the single. The record store by my house has held a copy for me so I don't even have to wait in lines or fight anyone. Literally the only perk of being a Pulp fan in America: few other people care enough to go for the single

I waited for 2 hours got to the p section and saw someone grab THE LAST ONE! I am gutted . I felt murderous! then as I wandered round the shop I saw at least 10 folk with a copy it's like they were taunting me, the bastards .
Got up at 5am, got to Record Collector in Broomhill at about 5.35am.. 30 people in front of me already.. some there since 11pm the previous night! Didn't fancy my chances at that stage.
They had plenty of Pulp (and still haven't sold out as of now: https://twitter.com/rcsheffield) , so it was a success for me! Had fun chatting with people in the queue and laughing at the Saturday morning workers rubbernecking at us.
I didn't see one at my local Dutch record store. But they did have the 1992 Verve EP on vinyl for the first time. I didn't know that one was going to be released, so I am quite happy with it.

In terms of studio albums, I think since the reunion/ in the past few years they have all been remastered and/or reissued except We Love Life so like you suggest if they were to re-issue some of the EPs that would be the next step. Could they do some sort of special edition releases of the singles? As well as the obvious ones from DC, they could use Lipgloss, DYRTFT, Party Hard, Bad cover version though it might be hard re-releasing the earlier ones in the same hypothetical special-edition format since they are owned by Fire.
When I say special edition I mean some sort of quirky twist like the picture discs Bowie did for this year or something.
I dunno I don't collect Vinyl...

So with another Record Store Day over, what would others like to see re-issued (ignoring any possibility of new material) in the future? Personally, I'd quite like to see The Sisters EP reissued

The Rattlesnake and Don't You Want You Me Anymore single. Preferably on cd too.
Well I think the mixes are great, so there! Certainly better than the shite remixes they had on Different Class b sides in the mid 90s....
yeah I listened to them yesterday and I was left wondering what all the fuss was about. I thought they were fine. Of course I like the single itself best, but they mixes certainly weren't as bad as everyone made them out to be. They were kind of catchy...

Well, on the brightside if a long enough period of No New Pulp continues, I might be forced to pull my finger out and work on some more Portfolios/tracking down stuff. Maybe.

I didn't want to push you, but I seem to be reviewing stuff I don't have 8 versions of now.
Guess the only thing that keeps a flicker of hope alive is that every time I pretty much give up and think 'that's it, won't hear anything from them or about them for another X years...' is that something, however minor, comes out - After You, then the Ross Show/download release, then the RSD announcement, then the RSD party. Then again I suppose there was a sort-of drip-feed throughout the hiatus too, what with Jarv's solo stuff, re-issues etc. The DVD will be next I guess, but then... guess it's not a bad way to end things. Least their very last move wouldn't have been the cruise.
I suppose I still half believe they will do more shows - If they were to make new material, it would make sense to wait until the end of the year. EVERYBODY is doing a comeback album now (Bowie, Suede, Primal Scream, Daft Punk etc.) and they wouldn't want to just be part of the crowd.
I've put an MP3 of the Dub version into Bar Italia 07.
It's really good, IMO! The whole Dub version is like an extension of the breakdown that comes 3/4 of the way through the original track (which itself sounds great on vinyl, incidentally...)
