What?! Unless they're launching an official release of After You... but WHAT?!

Willwiki recently uploaded to youtube the last Pulp performance on Jonathan Ross - Jarvis and Candida playing Birds In Your Garden in 2001. I think he had some inside knowledge ;)

I saw Madness on it last weekend and actually thought to myself it was a pity that Pulp hadn't done a bit more UK tv in their reunion like they did in America.

So will it be Disco 2000 or After You?

And a very nice performance it is as well.

I agree, they had no prime time TV at all I think I'm right in saying.

Oh my, imagine if it was After You! Although, wouldn't that mean that they'd be promoting a song that you couldn't actually buy...unless

Hmmmmmmmm, depends what they're doing next.

If it's touring again, I say it'll be Disco 2000/Common People/Whatever, if it's a new album of sorts, it'll be After You. Pulp are so annoying sometimes, if Nick was truthful in his comment of After You purely being for the fans, why do this and (probably) perform After You?! WHY?!

My prediction anyway!

EDIT: Now I'm going to get excited that a Glastonbury headline slot is a possibility this year....

"The Jonathan Ross Show Saturday 2nd February at 9:45pm on ITV Episode 5: Jonathan welcomes the legend that is Sir David Attenborough, comedy superstars Eddie Izzard and Russell Brand, and action movie hero Dolph Lundgren. Comeback kings Pulp also perform live in the studio."

I'm surprised the producers are happy for Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand to be within 100 miles of each other, could be amusing.

I was just thinking yesterday about how much I really missed the band when this goes and happens. What is the point of it if they have truly finished? Nick said the other week to me that their engagement book is completely empty and that the last tour had definitely finished. Could it be a change of mind? Oohh, they blow hot and cold don't they?

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! If anyone could record this or something that would be awesome! I don't know if I'll be able to get it and I'm not sure if it will air on BBC America (or if we even get it on our cable provider)

It's an ITV show. Can you get ITV Player over there?

oh I dunno. but I'm moving into a new house that day as well so I'd probably miss a live stream since I'm 8 hours behind the UK :/

I'm going to remain overly optimistic and imagine an album announcement

I think it would be utterly bizarre for them to just do Disco 2000 for no reason at all after hinting they were finished for now. Promoting an official release of After You? Promoting this upcoming film of the gig?

I wonder will Jarvis also get interviewed? Suggs and one of the other Madness blokes did. You'd have to think Jarvis' profile isn't hugely below that (despite Madness' involvement with the Olympics). Plus I'm pretty sure Ross is a long-time Pulp fan.

I have a CD of Pulp rarities where the instrumental version of Sex City is followed by a snippet of Ross talking about Pulp with, if I recall correctly, Reeves and Mortimer. It cuts off quickly but I presume it came from a radio show of his circa 1993.

Well, that's spurred me on to get my questions to Nick. All done and sent now! Looking forward to a reply!

Yes. I work for a company that provides TV listings for most magazines, papers and websites. The billing came from ITV themselves

I'm looking at it this way - does anyone ever go on a chat show without something to promote?

I reckon it'll be After you - it seems to have gone down really well. I'm hearing it at least once a day on 6music at the moment!
