He's far too nice to mention it here but Will-Wiki arguably usurped Pulp's Xmas treat with a New Year pressie of his own - the first part of the New Sessions from 1991 (kind of the holy grail of live Pulp on tv) has been uploaded onto youtube.
Ooh, and a remastered and high-definitionised version of Live On from the other '91 tv performance at the Town and Country Club. Much clearer than the hitherto multiple-generation VHS one. Nice work Will!
Blimey, they are all very serious aren't they? Not much fun to be had in the Leadmill that night! Russell looks like the kind of man you'd cross the road to avoid while he's wearing that massive coat. All in all they don't appear to be a very attractive proposition at this point in time.
You might notice that the New Sessions version of Countdown is from a different source. That's because I got two copies of the programme, one is better quality except during 'Countdown' where there is some tape damage.
I might eventually upload the videos in higher quality, so they could be put on DVD, if there's interest. The problem is where to upload such large files?
Many thanks to Jason, the VHS tapes these videos were transferred from all came from him.

Brilliant job Will and Jason too. A little note about Little Girl though, I thought Russell always played violin on that so I'm not sure why he's struggled with that horribly out of tune guitar. I, of course, would love a dvd of these, maybe we'll have to mail around a master dvd for people to copy. I'd happily pay the postage.

A job well done Will. The look of bewilderment on Russells' face throughout pretty much all of 'Little girl' while he attempts to tune his guitar is priceless. He's no Alex Lifeson is he?
oh wait a minute... my last post was posted before Will posted his update. and the new "new sessions" songs aren't in his playlist so that explains my commentary :) thanks again Will amd Jason!!
