hehe. well isn't that a treat ! we were a few hoping for re-recording of that song and others from that time (It's clearly a NEW recording) and here it is.
After one listen, it sounds a bit rushed production wise, but i'm sure it'll pass and i'll end up loving it from start to end. First new Pulp material in 11 years, can't complain ! Now here's hoping they also revisited Cuckoo and other songs, along with some new ones maybe ?! I'm pretty confident now there's more to come. they cant do that and leave us now, can they ?
Thanx Jazza and Weed for the upload. much appreciated.
Could anyone do a screenshot of the site as well if that's not asking too much ?

I'm feeling a bit gormless, maybe it's because I have to confront the Christmas kitchen any moment, but I'm not sure what you're after, the whole page(? - not sure why you'd want that, but if it makes people happy ...) or just the Christmas card artwork that comes with it - take your pick:

Someone help me out ! Tried to access through the links that you've put up but I must be doing something wrong ....I'm sadly not very technical : ( . I've tried the obvious, but it's just not happening for me and I've left my Xmas card at home and can't wait to hear it !

Thanx ! well i just wanted that to see how it looked like if that was a new site or just a download page...
Sounds like 2012 Jarvis, especially hearing it along with the other demo version of After You! Interesting stuff, out of all the possibilities I didn't think they'd be re-recording old stuff! Or possibly new stuff, I mean seeing as it was never released before it could go on a new album I guess. If we were to have new recorded material, the production will clearly be a lot better; there are lots of different sounds on this, all very clear and highly defined! Excellent stuff!
EDIT: My one and only criticism is that it's a bit too long for a song like AY. It's not like TIH or Wickerman, it's a pop song really. Maybe a minute too long, the original was about that (just checked, 4:15)! Very minor criticism though!

maybe yeah, could be a teaser for a new album, with a new version being on the record. It does sound like an full demo rather than an a finished track. especially the instrumentation.
Looking forward to hearing this, though I'm tempted right now to avoid post-Separations Pulp until I 'get to it'. Do people reckon there's any chance that it's an old demo? There must be a couple of versions of it in the vauts.
Thank you to Lauren for coming to my rescue ! I'm Technologically inept at best. Merry Xmas .....and mine might be now I can stop stressing about this !
Well, if all Pulp want to do in the studio is rehash stuff that didn't make it first time 'round, then on this evidence (with sweaty palms and armhair raised) I'm all for it. F'ing hell, that's one dirty classic and, other than Wickerman and Modern Marriage, I've not been that bowled over on 1st listen to a Pulp song since hearing Hardcore (the song). More please. And I'll even pay for it!
Thanks for posting up the link. Song would not be out of place on the Intro Compilation/Gift Recording Days which is a great thing. Heres to more new/reworked songs of lost classics hopefully.
