Death Comes To Town is by far THE most underrated Pulp song ever in my opinion. It sounds so simple in the way it was formed using the Yamaha Portasound - yet it uses a mini string section and some nice bass work by H. I will literally drool if I hear this in Sheffield.

More in an attempt to prove to myself I still have time to do these things.

 

Feel free to add pedantry. I tried to re-research how the third Barracuda track became available, but couldn't remember, so here are the tracks anyway. I've left off '...Disco' for obvious (copyright) reasons!

The info all looks correct to me. I first got hold of the Barracuda version of 'Going Back to Find Her' on the Havenhand eBay CD.

I like the photo. I don't remember seeing that one before. Nick Banks looks so young and very different from the even earlier photo of him with the Vicious Circles, where he had an amazing mass of spikey hair.

thanks!! reassuring to see those words "portfolio" again :)

There is a mistake though, an obvious one so no one here will take that info as the truth, but it states Rattlesnake is from the Island demo. But after changing the tag album title to Portfolio 015, that has disappeared anyway.

Anyone else having problems with the numbering of these on iTunes? Despite me naming and numbering them correctly my iPod insists on playing the last three tracks first

Normally I at least try with the id3 tags, but didn't have the time here. A lot of time was spent finding the best versions I had of each track, so the id3ing lost out I'm afraid as it's very slow and very boring to do!

Am I the only one who enjoys editing all the id3 tags? I spent about an hour sorting out some bootlegs the other day and kind of enjoyed it. Then again I also get a weird pleasure out of alphabetizing all my books/records/movies

 I simply couldn't agree with you more. Although isn't there a story that it isn't H playing bass but Jarvis instead?

H does give the story that Jarvis replaces Russell's guitar but various other people (was it Jarvis himself? Or Nick?) stated Jarvis replaced H's bass.

After checking the '07 email account, it's your one that's on the portfolio. I thought it might have been one of my earlier ones because of the credit in the sleeve note, but it turns out I never uploaded them. My bad.

Oh great, so I uploaded the wrong back cover too? Gah! Must try harder.

 

Salmon, I did have one of your 'fixes' a while back and thought it p!ssed all over mine. Hence I intended to use it, but didn't find it on my hardrive when I put this 015 together. So I used mine instead, but kept the wrong credit.
