There was a documentary about a football club on BBC Four the other day, just on as background noise while I was writing, and they played "Mile End". Slightly ashamed to say I stopped writing to gawp at the telly for a few seconds. They played a fairly decent chunk of the song. Then went back to talking about football.
Even though this thread is dead old, I went to see World's End yesterday which features DYRTFT as well as other good, none-pulp music
Didn't seem worth making a new thread for.
I heard So Young by Suede gets a prominent part in the film. Is it any good, by the way? Been fairly mixed reviews. Though they'll never top Spaced in my opinion.

Not seen it myself, but from what other people have said I gather it sort of wanders between sci-fi comedy and growing-up drama, but the jokes are there, and the cast are brilliant. When the trailer came out I had to watch it twice, because the first time I saw it I just kept going "oh look Mark Heap is in it! And Paddy Considine! And Reece Shearsmith!" without really taking much notice of what was actually being said.
It started off a bit slow and it's unnerving to see Simon Pegg playing a bit of a dick, but i thought it was really funny, especially second half. Nick Frost is BRILLIANT.
Yeah, I wondered how the big role-reversal would work between Pegg and Frost. Glad you enjoyed it though - I was kind of worried that the "trilogy" wouldn't quite go out with a bang, but I'll look forward to seeing it now.
I thought it was really good but still probably my least favourite out of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and World's End. So Young is definitely more prominent than DYRTFT but not as much as Loaded by Primal Scream. Anyway I'd recommend it
