I think it's fair to call 'Like a Friend' a single. It was promoted as such and was the group's biggest American' hit'.

But how about ...Suffocate as well as ...Problem, Little Girl and Dogs...? I also think 'Babies' and 'Sisters EP' are two very different things!

Are we rating them on the single choice alone or considering b-sides, packaging etc? If so then "A Little Soul" gains about 6 extra points for me!

I'm confused about which song list to use now, Eamonn's more accurate list of that of the OP??

I have the promo CD for 'Like a Friend', it's just a TIH-style sticker on a jewel case with otherwise very generic Atlantic/Fox packaging. I wouldn't consider it a single because it wasn't commercially released and promoted as a single for Pulp, it was to promote the film. At the time, I never heard the song on the radio (in L.A.), but I do remember seeing the video with surprising frequency...shows you what a difference the money/marketing team of a movie studio can make.
