There's going to be a thread about this sooner or later, we may as well start it now!

I'm hoping for/expecting Russell and Richard Hawley to be part of proceedings for a start, and hopefully some older faces too (Saskia? Peter Mansell?)

Setlist wise, we're going to get quite a lot of hits, whether we like it or not! In my opinion any way. It's such a big gig for them personally that they'll surely play a crowdpleasing set, probably more so than the Brixton gigs. I'd LOVE it to be a ridiculously long set like in Mexico City earlier in the year, but they've never done a set that long in the UK so I won't get my hopes up.

In terms of rarities and album tracks, I reckon Wickerman and Sheffield: Sex City are safe bets because of the local subject matter, but I'm hoping for some big surprises- Death Comes To Town would be the dream. Glory Days would be a suitable song to play, wouldn't it, and they've already played it this year, right? And perhaps a rare We Love Life-era track as a nod to the re-release petition..

I'm with Sarah and Liltman on "Wishful Thinking"!

Other than that "OU", "Happy Endings", "Sheffield: Sex City" and "Love Is Blind" would make me a very happy man!

'Happy Endings', like Magna, if there's to be another hiatus (or The Never-Ending Story if they're going to record a new album...).

I'd love to see There's No Emotion too but it's likely to be a little off-message.

Three agonising minutes of a snare drum and a high 'G' before the lights come up... then set the opens with My Legendary Girlfriend. Makes the hairs on my spine all tingly.

AGGH! I can't cope with this, and I'm very unlikely to be there!

I reckon My Legendary Girlfriend is very likely to be played, we know they've rehearsed it...

Outside of the usual suspects, I'd plump for:

OU
Sheffield Sex City
Acrylic Afternoons
Fairgrounds
Birds in your Garden
Seductive Barry

I predict a Brixton-like setlist, something for everyone, with one old song in the encore. Sheffield Sex City is likely and I can't wait to see that again.

I'm hoping for Wishful Thinking and Being Followed Home, but anything obscure would be good.

I'd much rather Blue Girls instead of Wishful Thinking

does no-one else fancy a bit of Dogs Are Everywhere? I thought the version they played the other week was completely ace.

Sure, but I'm afraid that's a one-off considering the place they played it.

Furthermore I'm guessing it'll be like Brixton night two, with perhaps a slightly longer settime. Sheffield: Sex City seems obvious, and perhaps Wickerman as well. (not sure if they'd play two songs of that length, but then again, so did they at Brixton). Then a whole lot of usual suspects, with the occassional not THAT famous album songs from His 'n' Hers, Different Class, and This Is Hardcore getting switched. Perhaps (hopefully) throw in a song they haven't played. I myself would die to hear Sylvia, but everyone has their own favourites of course and that one isn't popular in particular. Also a good chance on Like A Friend, I'd say. And then inbetween, perhaps at one of the encores, one or two more obscure ones, pre Seperations.

Endless posibilities of course but I'm sure they'll surprise us and find some great balance between the hits and the 'hardcore' stuff. After all, they have some rehearsal time, hehe.

I agree, Jarvis seemed really into it :). I'd be happy to hear that, but Aborigine would be even better.

I like the idea of them playing Wishful Thinking. That'd be amazing. I think that if this really is the end, they'll play Happy Endings like last time. Although I wasn't there, listening to the recording, I can tell that was a very powerful last song to play (well, second-last).

Also, I like the sound of Bookmark's play list. Tons of new songs plus 'Watching Nicky' and 'Death Comes To Town' is a winner in my books.

This is not a prediction, but I would love to hear Little Girl With Blue Eyes live once before I die. Other than that I just love surprises and the tingle you get when you start to recognise the beginning of something totally unexpected.

I know it won't happen but part of me would like to hear Last Day Of The Miners Strike, just cos they were meant to play it the last time they played Sheffield yet cut it from the set. I do really like that song, but it's always felt like it's not a real song, if you know what I mean? It would make it feel more like a Pulp song if they played it. Also it's local-centric again. Though I know it won't happen!

Sylvia is a really good shout, I think I'd die if they played that. It would be a good one for the gig too, as it has a big chorus and things- I'd love to hear them do She's A Lady, but it's probably a bit too subtle.

Little Girl With Blue Eyes is pretty likely I think, same with Countdown as it's so relevant to the story of the band (something I reckon Jarvis will reference LOADS).

Though its unlikely, I think Space would be a good opening song particularly for their homecoming
