Think of this as like one of those Channel 4 bank holiday specials presented by Jimmy Carr or Jonathan Ross.
Mine are:
The Fisher King,
The Hudsucker Proxy,
The Descent,
The Graduate,
Dumb and Dumber,
I never said I was deep...

I watched Miller's Crossing twice and didn't have a clue what was going on, had to read the plot on Wikipedia. Still thoroughly enjoyed it though, which is weird. Love the scenes with the record and the forest and the phone and the chair. I'm being purposefully vague so as not to spoil anything for anyone. Anyone who hasn't seen Miller's Crossing make sure you do. In fact just watch pretty much everything by the Joel and Ethan Coen. Hudsucker Proxy, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, Raising Arizona, Blood Simple, Burn After Reading, The Man Who Wasn't There, O Brother Where Art Thou.

True story. When i was very young, me dad got tickets to the critics screening of Return to Oz. In the cinema, they'd turned the sound way up, and when you're 4 it's a very scary film. (think the nome faces in the rocks not to mention Mombie's severed heads). Anyway, during a particularly scary part, i screamed at the top of my lungs "Mummy, I want go home!". My comments swiftly ended up in one critic's review!
Stop Making Sense Harry Potter (chose one because I can't) Lord of the Rings (again, can't decide on a particular one) Batman: The Dark Knight Donnie Darko
Week End A Bout De Souffle My Neighbour Totoro Blade Runner Alien Moon Lost In Translation The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou Detour Take Care Of My Cat
Can't believe that's 10 already.
Oh my god, I forgot..
The Wicker Man

In the Mood for Love Breathless (A Bout de Souffle) Umbrellas of Cherbourg Quadrophenia The Namesake
I seem to have similar tastes to saw119/Stephen...I'll have to find "Take Care of My Cat" (from my motherland)...have you seen "Castaway on the Moon" (another Korean film)? Very quirky but intensely charming.
Just thinking of "Return to Oz" still scares me a little...those heads, the wheelers *shivers* Probably wouldn't find it scary at all today, but I'm not interested in taking that risk!

I've seen loads of Korean films and really like what they've been doing in the last decade plus. I havn't seen the one you mentioned. Take Care Of My Cat is a beautiful coming of age drama. I alos want to include KES in my list.
