I think they were probably just trying to cover all of the albums (or most of them)- personally would have put Wickerman instead of Birds in Your Garden. How can you not like S:SC ?
Yeah, saw that while browsing the other day. Nice to see Pulp were one of the featured bands. The list was compiled by Victoria Segal who is related in some way to Nick.
'In Many Ways'?!? What's that about? It's one of the weaker tracks on their weakest album.
And no 'Babies'? Bizarre.

I'd say its one of their strongest tracks on the weakest album. Only Wishful Thinking is better. I can imagine they are probably bored of Babies since its so overplayed.

Good selection. I think I'd be tempted to find room for Don't You Want Me Any More, Life Must be so Wonderful, There's No Emotion, The Mark of the Devil and Wickerman, but I don't know how I'd make room for them. Double-album?
They seemed to largely ignore the more mainstream songs and include at least one b-side and one song from the least mainstream album. It's more an alternative best of. Has to be 10 tracks to make the grade.
I kinda like that list, it does a better job than most others I've seen. In fact I think it's prett brilliant! I might make a playlist of that top 10 for my iPod and see what it sounds like.
They won you over with OU didn't they? I agree though, it's an interesting selection. I wonder if anyone interested in Pulp will download these songs and if they'll get into the band as a result.
