Haha, I can't believe the His'n'Hers clip - updating the line to ''I'm afraid of 46 inch Plasma screens'' and then Jarvis, virtually repeating what he ad-libbed on the tv performance of the song in 1994 to the audience member saying he was afraid of wasps. Incredible!
In the back of Mother, Brother, Lover he writes the wasp one out in full so he must have had to watch it a few times.
While I was standing in line w/ my little sister, the two women next to us asked what we thought they'd play tonight... I actually said "i wonder if they'll play back in LA" they'd never heard of it and played if for them off my phone they were in awe of it and said if they hadn't been told it was pulp they would never of guess... funny that they ended up playing it... at least they know i wasn't lying to them.
Eamonn, especially odd considering that Jarvis claims never to listen back to live gigs etc!
Ah, but it's on PulpWiki!
And anyway, there might be a difference between not listening to your own stuff for casual enjoyment, but still doing it if you were preparing/rehearsing. But who needs to do that when they've got Pulpwiki.

Surprised no one has commented on it...was that transition into Cocaine Socialism at the end intentional or did Jarvis just start to mix-up his lines and decided he'd run with it?!
Might have been better if he'd left the guitar alone and concentrated on getting the high notes, mind.

Blimey...I really need to stop cataloguing the old stuff for a bit and dip my toe into some of this sort of thing. Damn the firewalls for youtube blocking at work!

I was just gonna say exactly the same thing!! The song would have been much more engaging without Jarvis playing guitar, too.. he's an extremely static guitar player.
