Space?! No one's mentioned this yet! Is this one for real too...?
Likewise Will, I'm not 100% convinced of all of this yet. Seems odd 'setlist' mentions Space, but those in attendance mention His 'n' Hers. Seems an odd mistake to have made on Setlist's behalf if so.
it was his n' hers & not space. jarvis went out off the stage and asked a few people what they were frightened of ("the dark" and classically, "wasps", were the answers.)
Ah, said 'wasp' fan was next to you then? Presumably you were on the barrier if he came at you with the mic...?
And yeah, I think about 1984 is right for Back in LA. March '85 appears to be the final known of date for it being performed. I wonder how it is that Candida came to remember that one? Been downloading Pulp Portfolios have you, Ms. Doyle? :)
Ahh...and it's only just clicked that 'Pomona' is in fact in Los Angeles. Right. Now it makes sense!
Wonder when they got it together to learn Back In LA, which version they listened to and I wonder if Jarvis got the words off Pulpwiki?
I think that's a given - regarding getting the lyrics from the wiki. He seems to be increasingly reliant on it. He is probably equally parts fascinated, bemused and embarassed at how detailed an archive it is of his professional career.
Edit: Just seen the set-list on pulpwiki. Honest to God, over the last couple of weeks and the Brixton shows they've put on the most interesting concerts, in terms of songs, of their careers. Quite remarkable to be honest!
