Likewise. Or are you all still backstage whilst Jarvis plays you the Rotherham demo?

My friend called me during His n' hers. From what I can make out they also played OU and Dishes...

Wow! They're really pushing the boat (my boat of jealousy) out with some of these gigs.

And I thought it'd just be 'the hits' on the US tour. Well done to Pulp!

On a tangential thread, is 'His 'n' Hers' the filthiest of all Pulp songs...?

Back in LA? OK, My Lighthouse I can accept as it was, y'know, actually released...but I demand evidence of this one. I think you're all teasing.

Likewise Will, I'm not 100% convinced of all of this yet. Seems odd 'setlist' mentions Space, but those in attendance mention His 'n' Hers. Seems an odd mistake to have made on Setlist's behalf if so.

it was his n' hers & not space. jarvis went out off the stage and asked a few people what they were frightened of ("the dark" and classically, "wasps", were the answers.)

That is pretty amazing.

Well, I stand corrected having called you all liars! I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me :)

How did the audience respond to HnH and Back in LA, then?

Was 'wasps' given by someone who was familiar with the bootleg, d'you think?

And how did Back in LA sound...?

Ah, said 'wasp' fan was next to you then? Presumably you were on the barrier if he came at you with the mic...?

And yeah, I think about 1984 is right for Back in LA. March '85 appears to be the final known of date for it being performed. I wonder how it is that Candida came to remember that one? Been downloading Pulp Portfolios have you, Ms. Doyle? :)

Ahh...and it's only just clicked that 'Pomona' is in fact in Los Angeles. Right. Now it makes sense!

If only there were some obscuro-Pulp songs about British towns that they might play at forthcoming dates. Anyone got any suggestions?

Wonder when they got it together to learn Back In LA, which version they listened to and I wonder if Jarvis got the words off Pulpwiki?

I think that's a given - regarding getting the lyrics from the wiki. He seems to be increasingly reliant on it. He is probably equally parts fascinated, bemused and embarassed at how detailed an archive it is of his professional career.

Edit: Just seen the set-list on pulpwiki. Honest to God, over the last couple of weeks and the Brixton shows they've put on the most interesting concerts, in terms of songs, of their careers. Quite remarkable to be honest!

They were, indeed, "back in LA". Hence the reason, I suppose.

I was going to text you, but didn't want to make you drop important things in shock.
